Since I am about to return the signed contract, I guess it's time to announce that I'll join the Department of English & American Studies at the University of Oldenburg. More specifically, I'll have a two-year postdoc position in the project "Fiction Meets Science II: Varieties of Science Narrative," in a subproject on the representation and role of science in television. Those of you who know me a little will know that Germany wasn't necessarily a "goal" (and even less so on a fixed-term contract), but a job is a job ... and the project sounds exciting.
